The “I Dream of Sushi” achievement requires players to eat 20 raw fish in Sons of the Forest. Players must catch 20 fish and consume them without cooking to get the achievement. Note that there are no side effects when eating raw fish in the game.
Catching Fish
There are more than a couple of ways for players to acquire fish in the game. Players can use spears, place fish traps, command Kelvin, or pick up stranded fish to get 20 fish.
Using Spears
Players can use spears and other weapons to kill a fish swimming in ponds or rivers. As long as the fish is visible, players can kill it with weapons. Once the fish is dead, players can simply pick it up.
Placing Fish Traps
Players can build fish traps via the survival book using sticks. Simply place the fish trap in a water source, preferably where fishes are visible. After a few minutes, the trap should catch a fish.
Command Kelvin
Players can command Kelvin to catch fish when near rivers, ponds, or lakes. This is the easiest way to catch fish since Kelvin will continuously spawn fish one after the other.
However, Patch 01 balanced this by adding a timer to Kelvin’s catch fish order. Still, players can simply command Kelvin again and resume catching fish.
Aside from Kelvin, it is also possible for Virginia to give fish to the player as one of her regular gifts.
Pick Up Fish
There are certain locations in the game where fish can spawn outside of water. One of these places is inside the rebreather cave. Players can pick up more than a couple of fish somewhere in the cave.
Eating Raw Fish
To eat raw fish, players simply have to open the inventory and select a fish. The player will automatically eat the raw fish.
